What I liked
I loved the dynamics and transitions, the specificity of the storytelling down to the Houston details. I loved the personification of his Volvo. And I really loved his dad even though he’s a complicated character; it’s a testament to Jon’s performance and show that he presented him with such empathy.
What I didn't like
No notes! Loved it.
My overall impression
Black Bastard is a really special solo show and Jon is a pleasure to watch on stage—funny, warm, and confident.
