What I liked
Everything from the careful clever clear compelling writing to the dynamic open-hearted performance and even this venue was a lovely space for a festival debut. Jon’s voice, face, and magnificent soul, and this outstanding specific personal intimate but universally relatable story.

My overall impression
Jon Gentry is an outstanding storyteller. What a show! I’m so lucky to have seen this, and I hope many more get to experience Black Bastard. Funny, emotional, tightly written, and beautifully performed. This is the best one-person show I’ve seen in a long time.
