What I liked

We’re gonna need a bigger box.

What I didn't like

The space can really suck up the sound, but at no fault to the cast. They built the heavens despite their tools.

My overall impression

One thing’s for sure, these women SEE those boys. Hilarious and heartfelt, nostalgic and musically inspired. Even if, like me, you tragically die from joy during the opening number, know that you’ll eventually find new life in the healing soul of Valen Shore’s Chris Kirkpatrick. In fact, the whole cast is so rejuvenating that Gwyneth Paltrow will surely extract a serum somehow. Self-effacing and more sincere than it has any right to be, there’s an enthusiasm here that’s so infectious it makes me glad they’re requiring masks. If the Hollywood Fringe is an oversized beanie, then this show’s just too frosty to not have peeking out the front. And if you’re looking for the lesson from this Christmas ghost of wonderful lives past, it’s that we’ve been thinking of *NSYNC all wrong. Our fandom’s not locked away in JT’s safe somewhere; it’s in Joey’s house, right next to Lance. It’s with JC and the Kirkpatricks. We’ve just got to stick with them and have faith in each other. We’ll eventually get through 2009 all right.
