This is a must watch for Hollywood Fringe! On the surface it's about getting an abortion, but really it's a celebration. It's a celebration of friendship. Of family. Of independence. Of being young and reckless. Of Black joy! It's also heartwarming. Underneath the layers and layers of humor, it takes the time to address serious issues that young women face. It explores gender, sexuality, reproductive access, medical care, consent, and more. Jairis and Mareshah express what it means to be deeply creative people. This show will have to twerking and singing "Abortion Weekend"!...

Abortion Weekend is an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING play. Jairis and Mareshah were outstanding. I didn’t feel as if they were acting, I felt like they were real! It was the perfect mixture of comedy and seriousness that left you crying and laughing at the same time. In the end the realness of the topic and the facts were presented by the actresses in a spectacular way. I LOVED IT!...
