The play was truely a one woman show and an ensemble piece all at once. Dynamic lighting, projection, pillows, soundscapes, dance, costumes, and the relatable struggle with how we view ourselves are what truly shine in this piece.
What I didn't like
It takes a second for the show to really kick into high gear but once it does its a force to be reckoned with. There seems to be a comment on how we present ourselves to society that would explain this so I can see the justification.
My overall impression
Striking, moving, unique. A show that provokes and challenges what we think we know. A historical narrative through the fresh lense of modern storytelling and experimental theatre.
