What I liked
I loved the jokes, the wacky characters, the fun costumes, the catchy music, the clever lyrics, the queer representation, and all the themes. Thank you to everyone involved in making this delightful, important musical a reality!
What I didn't like
I was watching remotely by livestream, and the audio & video quality could have been improved, but the main thing I was wishing for was closed captions! (The ones that youtube autogenerated were hilariously inaccurate and very intermittent.) Even though I know this probably isn’t possible for a livestream in real time, it would be really great to have accurate captions on the recording of the livestream that’s available for subsequent viewings. Thank you for working towards accessibility!
My overall impression
Teaching a Robot to Love was a perfect blend of campy, hilarious, and heartfelt. Absolutely brilliant — I’ve already come back for a second viewing (dragging my friends with me) and have had the cast recording on loop all week. I laughed, I cried, I cheered!
