What I liked
The music was catchy and fun and I really loved the whole cast. I liked the way the connected with each other and really helped give depth to the characters. And I loved the streaming quality and just the fact that it was available for streaming which meant I was able to see it from Seattle while juggling a toddler’s bedtime.
What I didn't like
It’s incredibly hard to do a show for both a live audience and streaming at the same time. While it was remarkably good most of the time there were points where the lighting didn’t quite work and were washed out, largely because of really sparkly costumes I think. But again, I was really impressed with how well it was done most of the time which is why those spots stood out.
My overall impression
I loved the show! I had heard the soundtrack already but it was great to see it fully staged. I was able to follow the story so much better. I loved the music and the characters and really enjoyed the critiques of capitalism. Also, good timing for the AI discourse to be going off the rails online…
