I enjoyed every moment of it. To be able to convey everything that was going on—and a lot happens in a mere two hours—with minimal props (although maximal hedgehogs) was incredible. The costumes that Atelier Abene provided did worlds to show us quite a lot about the characters before they even opened their mouths.
The whole cast was a delight. I don’t want to post spoilers, so I will say everyone embodied their characters very well. This musical has so much heart (queer, queer heart), and it made me laugh, and it made me cry, and it made me want to hug people and tell them how much I love and appreciate them, however they present.
This resonated with me so much as a non-binary person. I can’t even find the words.
What I didn't like
I think we definitely need to crush capitalism.
My overall impression
I loved this show. It’s had a long journey from Laser’s mind to the stage, and I’m so delighted that I’ve been able to see so many steps of that journey. Thank you, my friends, for offering the virtual tickets alongside the Hollywood tickets.
