What I liked

The script was perfectly balanced between exposition and songs. It was clearly edited with extremely meticulous care.

The whole musical brilliantly runs the gambit between silly and profound in ways that don’t clash. We feel for the characters, we sing along with them.

“Normal human party” is the most relatable song in a musical ever.

The staging is perfectly matched to the performance space. Minimalist, but it works in the stage space without feeling like gimmick.

What I didn't like

Everything worked. It took the concept album and brilliantly brought it to life.

My overall impression

A wonderful musical! Funny and profound, catchy and moving. The songs are wonderful to listen to; they’re still going through my head a day later.

The cast are excellent and production is both minimalist and wonderful. This show is a must-see.
