What I liked
The lyrics and the music are great. Can’t wait to listen on Spotify!
The performances were lovely too. This cast (and director) pulls off an incredible balance of intelligently placed campy-ness and serious emotional stakes.
What I didn't like
There really wasn’t anything “not working” for me. Truly! Also, I saw their first preview. Anything that felt “off” was because a kink needed to be worked out in the first performance. I only wish I wasn’t going out of town and could see it again as the show settles into its brilliant self!
My overall impression
This show is full of love. It carries powerful themes alongside sharp as hell humor. If you want to laugh, have your heart warmed, and walk away with some deep thoughts, this is exactly the show to see.
