What I liked

This is such a fun show, and it’s very obvious that the cast members are all invested and happy to be a part of it. Plus, the cast is fantastic! They all fit the parts they play so well! The choreography is very fun too, and I especially liked the part when Billie rolled Lavender around in the chair! Also, kudos to Billie and MARSH for that epic hand-shake, and I really appreciate their song about friendship!
(Little blurbs for each using their characters’ names.) It was very funny when Mr. Norton was signing peoples’ playbills during the song. I adore how Faun is portrayed as so sweet and caring and helpful! Lavender could be easy to write-off as a mean character, but her nuances are played very well, and it’s easy to believe she deserves her redemption in the end. Billie is wonderful, and I want to be their friend too. Marsh gives such a heartfelt and beautiful performance that is very moving. Mary has a great character arc, and is relatable in her vulnerability while not wanting to acknowledge it.
The costumes are also really great and very fitting for the characters!
Everyone really did such a wonderful job on this production! Congratulations!

What I didn't like

The piano volume seemed to drown out the vocals a few times during the show.

My overall impression

I really love this musical. It expresses topics like love, friendship, expectations, and the human experience in uplifting, fun, and poignant ways. The songs range from fun and catchy to deeply heartfelt, and they always feel authentic. It was an absolute treat to see this performance!
