What I liked

What I appreciated most was his unwavering honesty and refusal to sanitize grief. The blend of humor and heartbreak is masterful, and the tone – at once irreverent and deeply reverent – captures the dissonance of mourning in a world that prefers silence around tragedy. His ability to hold space for both laughter and tears, often simultaneously Crazy Cattle 3D, is a testament to his skill as a storyteller and performer.

What I didn't like

If there’s room for improvement, it might lie in the show’s structure. At times, the emotional intensity is so sustained that the pacing could benefit from a few quieter beats – moments of stillness to let the weight settle before moving forward again. A brief shift in rhythm could help the audience absorb and process the heavier segments more fully. Still, Grief is a brave and necessary piece of theater – one that doesn’t promise healing but offers something more vital: language, connection, and truth.

My overall impression

Colin Campbell’s Grief: A One Man ShitShow is an unflinching, darkly comic, and emotionally raw theatrical experience that confronts unimaginable loss with startling honesty and courage. I think this is not just a performance – it’s an act of generosity. Campbell doesn’t just relive his grief; he invites the audience to reckon with their own, creating a communal space for pain, awkward laughter, and reflection.
