What I liked
Each section was very specific and well thought out.
The writing was excellent full of humor and profound candor
The performer did not shy away from his truth.
What I didn't like
I feel that the Performer was thorough and made it his own and does not need to improve on that. I feel that it will only grow the more he performs the piece.
My overall impression
A profoundly powerful and incisive examination of Grief from someone who has experienced an intolerable and unimaginable loss, and who continues to examine every aspect of the pain and suffering he must endure.
The performers’ ability to share his most authentic and visceral self, his continuing journey of grief and determination to understand the nature of it is extraordinary.
Colin Campbell teaches us that we must lean into the pain, we cannot avoid grief in whatever form it comes in.
