Grief: A one man shit-show settles the many considerations friends and family have when trying to comfort the bereaved. The platitudes, the misguided empathy and the fact that we, as a culture, are terrified of grief. Colin Campbell lays it all out for us in ways that are funny, ironic and frank. It may be catharsis for him, but it's immeasurably valuable gift to anyone that sees it. ... full review

Profound, moving show that does exactly as the poster suggests, flips grief on its head. I walked away with a shaken, expanded perception of the subject, and I do not doubt that it will come to mind when it is inevitably my turn to grieve something or someone. ... full review

Grief is an inconsolable emotion. I realized this watching Colin's show last night. It creates an uncrossable chasm between the sufferer and the rest of the world. I've been the world and the sufferer in this life and I felt like Colin's beautiful story telling creates a bridge between the two experiences by creating a space for grief's expression and allowing us to witness it. I am deeply grateful.... full review

This performance is an honest look into one couple's grief and pain and how they are coping. A very tragic personal experience which touches everyone in the audience and opens a door to help deal with grieving, which is something we have all experienced. I heard laughter and crying in the audience and I too laughed and cried. ... full review

Confronted with every parent's worst nightmare, Colin courageously opens up and takes us on a profound journey to explore emotions most of us don't want to look at: pain and grief. He does it with so much compassion and grace, and even humor.... full review

A really thoughtful, nuanced exploration of grief in a culture that doesn't teach us how to talk about grief--even though it is one thing that we will all experience at one point or another. ... full review
