What I liked
I loved the fun board game set-up, full of “LA-isms” that everyone in the audience could relate to – it made for hilarious and fun transitions between each lady’s tale. The women themselves were outstanding, each so boldly genuine as she embraced the uniqueness of her own story. It was like four little one-woman shows, each with its own unique perspective – the fact that they all came together as one is a perfect example of what makes Los Angeles so interesting. The performance overall is hard to characterize as a comedy or drama because it had such a great blend of both, which I felt was exactly the right choice.
What I didn't like
Honestly, I really dug it and I didn’t even know any of the women in the show going in.
My overall impression
What incredible performances by four such distinct and interesting women! Despite how different all of their journeys were, each of these ladies shared her tale with the perfect blend of humor, honesty, and vulnerability.
