What I liked
Katierose is a comic genius with an ability to make you adore the deeply flawed and sometimes obnoxious people we all have in our lives. Queen of Fishtown is a celebration of character, family, and freaking G D party balloons.
What I didn't like
I should have purchased butterscotch krimpets from concessions. I knew that I wanted one and knew even more that my husband would want me to bring some home. I stared at the krimpets for 10 minutes and did not make the purchase. I came home and told my husband “There were Tastycakes cause it’s a show about Philly!” and he said “Did you bring home a butterscotch krimpet?” I did not. While I know I harbor most of the responsibility here, I feel the concessions worker could have pushed harder and made me realize I was missing out on an opportunity to bring joy to myself and my family.
