The details in the location, the specificity of the performance (her dialect and cigarette work are top notch). I love that it’s about a woman of a certain age and certain means that is dealing with change of her neighborhood, of her family, and of her own perspective of life. Incredibly relatable and a real treat to watch in such an intimate space. You have to see it!
What I didn't like
Nothing at all
My overall impression
One of my Favorite things at Fringe! The performance is perfect. The story is simple and compelling and beautifully navigated. It captures the essence of a time and place that may feel unfamiliar at the beginning but by the end you really feel like you live on the block with this woman and her family. Loved it!
