The story and the songs build a world that is accessible to anyone with a heart and ambition. It’s obvious that the actors are enjoying themselves and connecting with the material and their roles. The result is a sum greater than it’s parts, which is how I’d describe anything that succeeds in the way this play has.
What I didn't like
I think the show would benefit from having every actor mic’d and a live mixer. It would allows for a greater sense of immersion but with that said, I don’t think it’s critical.
My overall impression
This is a story of personal and professional exploration of joy, purpose, and love. It’s a beautiful story supported by genuinely funny moments and wonderful songs. I recommend this show for anyone of a mature age that wants to have a good time.
