Mary Lee gave us a wonderful performance, thoroughly entertaining with lots of laughs and a few tears. As a dad, we always wonder how were our efforts received and how did our offspring turn out once we can no longer observe them. The variety of characters who were on et, all played by writer/star Mary Lee, were distinct and each had their own voice, body language, and personality. This was a great way to spend Sunday afternoon, or any other time. See Diary, before it goes back on the shelf....

Where do I even start with this emotional journey? SCHMALTZY & PRINCIE: DIARY OF A NOT-SO-GREAT DADDY’S GIRL left me feeling both nostalgic and deeply moved. The father-daughter relationship is portrayed in such a relatable way, evoking memories of my own experiences with my dad.
The authors do a fantastic job exploring the complexities of this bond. It's raw, authentic, and beautifully written. As I read, I couldn’t help but empathize with both Schmaltzy and Principie, understanding their individual struggles and their shared journey....

In Schmaltzy & Princie, MaryLee’s struggle to reconcile with her inner voices is raw and relatable. With her father, ‘Schmaltzy’, playing the role of unwavering support, MaryLee’s complicated relationship with her mother adds a layer of emotional depth that many in the audience might find hauntingly familiar.
At its core, this play is about more than the pursuit of a Sundance competition deadline—it's a reflection on the limits we impose on ourselves and the crippling fear of failure. MaryLee's hesitation to finish things resonates on a deeper level, particularly when we consider the financial...

Everyone has squidward self-criticisms that follow them around and obstruct their progress. Mary Lee was the last person left standing in the room after knocking them all down one at a time. This production has excellent writing, acting, and directing. Team, I'm grateful....

What a beautiful story of a relationship between a daughter and father.
I was absolutely Gobsmacked towards the end.
Totally did not see that coming. My heart ached for MaryLee. I could feel her
father desperately wanting to ease her pain from beyond.

A great performer and writer who knew how to create great characters while also keeping each character very grounded and real. This is not an easy task for a solo performer but it was one of MaryLee’s strengths! ...
