About the Project
Christmas Eve 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic, 4 roommates are stuck in their apartment.
One of them, Josie, is having a particularly difficult holiday season. Having just had an abortion
while going through a breakup, Josie is depressed and abusing alcohol while repeatedly
contemplating suicide. Her roommates: A sweetheart Ali, Ali’s beau Jack, and the tough-love
Robin try to help navigate Josie’s cycle of grief while she processes her breakup with Darren.
Knowing of her deep love for nature, the roommates make a plan to drive her out to the desert
to see an impending meteor shower taking place the night of Christmas Eve. But when
someone leaves the door open and Josie’s beloved cat Agnes escapes, the friends rally
together to try to find the cat and save Josie’s Christmas and sanity.
