Gabriel Robinson is finally ready to move from the trauma in his life and drive to pursue his dreams cross country. However his father, Thomas has crashed his road trip to Los Angeles. Guided by the omnipresent Miss Thang, they both go on a journey that will change them both forever. En Route is a story of queerness, acceptance, how to move past trauma, what does it means to be a black in America, and what does it mean to be human.
