While all four cast members were great, I especially loved the performances of Katie Oliver for the intensity and honesty she brought to her role. What a monologue, Wow! I also enjoyed the simplicity Alana Kepes’ brought to her character and her depth and clarity of intention.
What I didn't like
Directing choices were not as strong as the could be but the actors held it together nicely. Fighting scenes and weapon choreography are always challenging. With more prep time this would have come off smoother. In a smaller theater it’s challenging to see all the action, nobody’s fault, just a limitation of the space.
My overall impression
This show was done very well. The script was well written and the actors were fully committed to their roles. Lots of twists and turns in this play that take you on an unexpected journey that explores friendship, loyalty, followers and leaders and the challenges of living in those roles. Production and set was very well done.
