About the Project
This heart-warming and comedic show explores how to survive Life, Love, and the Pursuit of Happiness by following the brassiest Diva of them all: Ethel Merman! Come along on a show tune filled, laughter inducing, “one-man show” about growing up gay in a Pentecostal household in the bible belt where his only saviors were community theater, an old record player, and the vinyl recordings of Broadway’s greatest diva! Through his Diva he learned a lot about love; giving it, getting it, and, unfortunately, letting it go. His tales of the heart are told using some of her most well-known songs such as “They Say It’s Wonderful,” “I Got Lost In His Arms,” and “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.” With Ethel by his side, life didn’t just get better it got FABULOUS!
