What I liked
I loved his message about resilience and having your own super power. I was in tears in the end as he spoke to the audience about his pain and how he overcame the seemingly endless struggles and heart break he endured. I left changed and better.
What I didn't like
I think tightening up the character transitions in a few places could help, however the time that Johnny takes is filled with intention and makes for an experience that you cannot peak your eyes away from.
My overall impression
This show is a beautiful story about physical and mental resilience from a gentle man. His vulnerability surrounding his experience with a life changing accident is poignant and inspiring. I was astonished by him, his ability, and his story. We learn in the show that Johnny is a healer and his method is massage. But he is also a healer through the arts because I walked away shedding some baggage and gaining the knowledge that I too can indeed do whatever I set my mind to with faith and love.
