I loved the story telling flashbacks and the creative use of “VR” and being in the future looking back. It was a unique plot and story. The making love to money scene with the healer had me laughing in tears. Carla went for it and it was hilarious. The ending song, " I am worth it" is a great message and anthem for our time. I also loved that the only prop was a chair. Simple set up with an impactful delivery.
What I didn't like
I was watching virtually as I’m in Canada and part of The Soaring Solo Community, and the audio was difficult to hear sometimes and then blaring loud with other when going between the pre-recorded character scenes and the live performance. I wanted to see more of Carla acting and less of the pre-recorded Carla characters.
My overall impression
I love the message of self worth and how important that is to reflect on our not only our relationship with money, but the relationship with ourselves. The show kept my attention with the use of media, music, and great story-telling. Carla is hilariously honest, witty, and creative.
