I liked the touches of self deprecating humor. The weaving in of classic 90’s pop/film. The honesty of the piece. George is clearly a gifted story teller. His pace was great. Every moment came across as clear (I never felt lost at any point essentially)
What I didn't like
The only thing that was very slightly distracting was the eyeline. We have to keep in mind that George does have Aspergers and as a result of that it can be somewhat more difficult to look people directly in the eye. NOW, This may or may not be true in George’s case, only he can answer that. But throughout the performance it was noticeable and I just wanted his eyeline to drop down a tad so that we, the audience, might see inside each active moment that the rest of George was producing with great skill and originality.
My overall impression
My overall impression was this piece has great heart. If you need a pick me up, or just need a fresh take on life (Especially if you’re LGBTQ) this is the show for you.
