What I liked
I liked the synchronicity of the movements with the score. I also liked the ease of following the narrative despite being an abstract movement piece. I really enjoyed seeing how the relationship grew and changed throughout the piece and kept me engaged with the piece throughout. The varying and unique visuals using zoom were a fantastic and unique way to express creativity and artistry that helped to really enhance my experience.
What I didn't like
I really enjoyed the performance and have no thoughts 0n how to improve it.
My overall impression
Ikigai was a phenomenal physical theater experience. Encompassing the whole range of human emotion, Ikigai was an emotional experience that left me with gratifying insights and fascinating questions about my own quest for understanding my purpose for living. Creating memorable theater is difficult to do, yet Ikigai is a show that will keep me thinking about it for a long time both in wonder and excitement.
