About the Project
Spotlight is an open mic style event with no formal audience. The only spectators are the other people performing that night. Additionally, nobody knows what they are performing until 24 hours before the event. 24 hours before the event, we send the participants a question. Our participants get to use their performance in a 5-10 minute slot, to answer that question through whatever kind of performance style inspires them. We put these parameters on it in order to push people towards truth as opposed to perfectionism in their performance.
