What I liked

The performances were wonderful. I was especially moved by the 1st piece, the scene between an Amazon worker and his wife. I felt like I was peaking into the apartment of so many of our neighbors. The realities of working for a dehumanizing company and the fear of losing that money. That is so dang real for so many of us.

The 2nd piece, about a lesbian and her partner, avoiding family that vote against their very existence, was probably the hardest one for me to watch…I wanted to get up there and scream for her. People that claim they are voting for the economy and ignore the policy and social ramifications those votes have on the people they claim to love… it’s mind boggling. This piece was so well acted, so cutting, it will live with me for a long time to come.

What I didn't like

It needs a full run!

My overall impression

Brilliant.

I was absolutely blown away by this show which, unfortunately, is so real, especially considering what is all around us.

Taking from the themes of “Waiting For Lefty” and weaving them into our current cultural landscape, this piece had me laughing, crying, wanting to scream, wanting to crawl into a ball…the writing is just plain brilliant, as was the direction and commitment to the theme and tone by all of the actors.

The lighting, sound, use of live feed, space, shadows…it was all wonderful. The movement pieces were so engaging.
