What I liked
The pacing was great. Going from small groups to larger scenes was impressive given the staging was shockingly smooth.
What I didn't like
I feel the lack of focus of more pivotal scenes at times was challenging. For example, our group was at the far end of the open area when Cindy and Linda had a fight and we were completely out of the loop about the HOA drama.
My overall impression
What a treat it is to have theater back in our lives! Our group had no idea what to expect from an outdoor, immersive theater experience and we were not disappointed. The show’s talent leads the audience from small intimate conversations to large group scenes effortlessly. This leads to a unique feel of being part of the show rather than just watching it. Each character archetype has its own layer of intrigue as well adding to the fun. My favorite was Odell; whose character draws you in with his boyish charms and genuine optimism. It was difficult not to follow him throughout the show. This BBQ definitely left us hungry for more.
