What I liked
The cast did a great job fully capturing the characters. Extra shout out to the actors playing Dustin and Joyce.
A lot of the design was fantastic. The costumes were spot on, the crochet blanket was an exact replica, and the demigorgon outfit could have easily been silly, but it was perfect.
What I didn't like
There were massive sound issues, at least on the livestream. The music was so loud during the songs that any spoken words and half the singing was impossible to hear. I missed chunks of the show and could not enjoy the musical aspect at all.
The show started 15 or 20 minutes late, then ended 40 minutes late! Absolutely not okay.
I wish the choreography had been a bit more, the dances were as basic as could be.
My overall impression
I was hoping for a lot more originality, maybe a new perspective on the show or a parody slant, but this was straight up the story of season one of Stranger Things plus music.
