What I liked

I loved the physicality of the show, and how specific each character was depicted to the core. I love how honest and vulnerable yet hilarious it was. I love how the comedy came out of real life stories, without even trying to be funny, Bethany was simply telling her life story, just so endearing and funny all at the same time.

What I didn't like

Coming from a harsh critic, I can honestly say I have no notes.

My overall impression

Bethany Vee’s one women show is one of the best comedy shows I’ve EVER seen. I know that seems like a bold statement, but having seeing countless comedy shows in Los Angeles, what sets Bethany’s show apart, is not only how raw, personal, gritty and honest it is, but also the fact that she literally takes us on a journal of self discovery that is extremely relatable.

Subject matters like addiction, 12 steps, ADHD, codependency, are what makes the show so painfully relatable and transparent, and you can’t help but eagerly await what’s next. “Edutainment” is what comes to mind when i think of this show. Acclaimed books like “You can heal your Life” by Louise Hay and “Learning to love yourself” by Gary Chapman are mentioned throughout the show, which gives us cues into who Bethany Vee is at her core: a warm, beautiful human being, simply trying to be the highest version of herself. A brilliant comedian with a sensitive heart, who is simply navigating life and it’s ups and downs.

I am going to take a wild guess and say that “I Have Too Many Feelings” is Bethany Vee’s first piece of art but not the last. I think what we truly have at play here, is one of the greatest comedians our generation is about to see. Mark my words.
