About the Project
A one-character drama featuring Gary Bairos, about the life and times of a Chicago horseplayer. It is a journey through one man’s life focusing on his obsession with hitting it big at the track and fulfilling his grandmother’s legacy. A superb, devastating monologue, Jimmy Gamble. One man on stage brings a world alive, and everything in the world is in the telling. Sometimes funny, often disturbing, and always compelling look at a man who considers himself to be “the greatest handicapper in the country.”
