What I liked
The standout comedic and vocal performances by Shanelle Darlene as the Black Canary and AJ Jauregui as the Music Meister were electric, as they both added sparks of mayhem and wonder to the dark world of the play. Beautiful direction by Ashley Karp, whose attention to the smallest details provided the audience with many Easter eggs for even the most devoted Batman fan. The “I’m Batman!” exits, Aquaman’s sad underdog story, and the ensemble’s devotion to create a Gotham like world were spot on. Overall, this was my favorite way to celebrate my first in person viewing of a show, I missed the theatre so much and Mayhem of The Music Meister was such a beautiful welcome back!
What I didn't like
My hope is that this play is expanded and part of a series of campy, quirky renditions of other zany episodes/series, it’s so much fun to watch!
My overall impression
Mayhem of the Music Meister is so captivating, it really is a must see! The camp, the mystery, the love triangle (oh my!) , the ensemble’s pitch perfect performances of each and every song, ah a wonderful time at the theatre indeed!
