What I liked
I loved the pacing of the show and how bright Kevin shines on stage. It is brilliantly entertaining and also moving.

My overall impression
“Versatile” is a complete work of art. From start to finish you are locked into a rollercoaster ride of high energy, tour de force realness from Kevin and his life story as a half Black, half White member of the LGTBQIA+ community. His sharp words in the form of beat poetry and fantastical characters he creates that question his identity all together throughout his personal journey are so moving, compelling and honest that you cannot even start to fully process it all until after you’ve left the theater and gone home to reflect. Now THAT is true theatre in my opinion, a piece of art that makes you contemplate your own identity in this world and challenges us all on a deeper level while also maintaining its humanity through entertainment that is both dramatic and comedic. I think this show is very important in the world we live in right now. Thank you Kevin for sharing your story in such a vulnerable way and allowing us to witness you.
