What I liked

I greatly appreciated the fact that no acts of sexual assault were re-enacted or described in the performance. Both the acting and direction were very solid. The piece was well-staged and the pacing was excellent. I think that in the hands of less-skilled artists, this show would be unbearable to sit through. The show left me, as a male, with a lot to think about. I am interested in getting the perspective of a woman, and I plan to re-watch the show with a female friend. I apologize for posting this review anonymously, but I’m not sure how the Hollywood fringe identifies reviewers, and I wouldn’t want to have my email address out there.

What I didn't like

I was confused by the show’s title until we well into the play. At the risk of giving anything away, I wonder if the connection between the actor and the title could be made clear in the early moments of the show.

My overall impression

Very ambitious and difficult subject matter that made me feel uncomfortable at times. That being said, I think it is important to address the issues surrounding male sexual aggression directed towards women. This show handled this theme with great sensitivity. Kudos to the playwright (who is also the actor) and to the director for this.
