About the Project
Manhattan, 1965. It’s the Marvel Age of Comics and Stan Lee has brought the Marvel Bullpen to a recording studio. Stan the Man has a glorious plan: the creators behind Marvel’s success are going to make a comedy record for their dedicated fans. Legendary comic book artists like Jack Kirby and Wally Wood are behind the mic, performing Stan’s corny material. They may be brilliant at crafting imaginary worlds but no one is going to mistake either of them for Jack Benny. So why are they even making such a wacky record? That’s what they’re asking. Stan Lee is discovering himself as the P.T. Burnam of comic books. But does everyone want to run away and join his circus?
