OFFICIAL WINNER OF THE HOLLYWOOD ENCORE PRODUCERS’ AWARD

The Big Crash takes place at a family’s ancestral home under crisis, as Bo recruits his compassionate daughter and ambitious son to a standoff with the authorities, before they lose everything. Bo is happily retired after making investments with his old friend Bill, who owns many houses in the area. Bo seriously overleverages himself under Bill’s management. Unable to pay for his heart medication or his mortgage, Bo turns paranoid and extremist, and insists on his right to die in his own home with dignity. A passionate fight for the meaning of the American dream erupts. Bo resists his children and their significant others as he turns the house into a fort under siege, and the generations wrestle with the ideals of equality and nonviolence. Cornered, Bo makes a dramatic last stand.
