What I liked
The script was well-written and engaging. The intimate setting and sparsely-decorated set added a sense of urgency. The performances, particularly that of the “cheater” himself, were outstanding.
What I didn't like
Not a strike against the production itself, but I would be interested in knowing where the characters go after the events of the play.
My overall impression
Well-paced and featuring some great performances, “Cheater” hits the ground running with an intimate story of relationship turmoil with a most unexpected twist. The script contains some big laughs and moments of genuine emotional weight.
