Her portrayals were compelling and meaningful. I cared about her and the peopleshe was describing. The things I liked the most were that she conveyed that she is a person who cares about others, she is able to show that through the many personas that she inhabited during the performance, and in the end Azo zeroed in on what is most important in life, which is to be in the present and to care about others. This is a message we need in these difficult times.
What I didn't like
I watched this streaming, and at first there were some technical glitches. The dialogue was not always in sync. When Azo was offstage it was difficult to understand what she was saying. Also, during the performance when she was referring to incidents that were accompanied by photos some of them were too dark to see well, at the end they were easier to see.
My overall impression
The show was very heartfelt and entertaining too. Azo Safo brought her experience of being in the Peace Core in Morrocco to life. Her protryals of the people she met made me feel like I was there.
