A 22nd Century twist on a female Hercules myth,
“GirlPower” is the story of Girlcules, a high-energy sweet-n-sassy girl DJ with the power to control machines.
She fatefully joins forces with her cynical genius cousin Theseus, known to the world as tech start-up billionaire Solon Freeze, when the duo discover a dimension made of thoughts and dreams.
In this Vibrational world they dub “The Jewel Net”, thoughts come to life inside sparkly jewel pods on a crystalline web. To master this dimension, they must harness a power source beyond logic and technology – the Heart.
In “GirlPower”, Datgirl Serene plays over twenty different characters who are male, female, transgender, artificial intelligence, and spirit — creating an amazing palette of personas including “the Shanti Diva” the Spiritual Supermodel, Amazon’s Alexa, Leonardo DaVinci’s Robot Knight, and DionneIsis, the God inside the body of a man who identifies as a Southern Belle.
As an Iraqi American Girl Writer/Performer, she gives Sumerian and Greek mythology a modern hip electronic twist, showing the inherent timeless nature of these universal tales.
Her two main characters Girlcules and Theseus tackle their diametrically-opposed classically-themed trials set within the futuristic worlds of Instaglam, the Oracle at Google, and the Digital City San Frangeles.
As they explore the Jewel Net by mastering their own thoughts, Girlcules and Theseus discover an unseen Sinister force pulling the world’s strings and sealing humanity’s terrible fate – unless they can fight it in time.
Datgirl Serene plays the dynamic duo Girlcules and Theseus, plus twenty more characters, and performs her Live Electronic DJ Rap Music score in this Interdimensional Tech-Sexy Comic-Book Comedy.
Serene Zloof aka “Datgirl” is a Writer/Performer as well as Electronic Music Producer/MC, with a flair for sexy techie girl-powered dance music, character transformations, magical-surrealism, and rave culture satire.
She is the Writer Creator and Star of the series “Pop & Spin” on Amazon Prime, and
tours internationally on the festival circuit as a DJ Rapper Live Electronic Music Producer.
