What I liked

I loved the visuals and personal photographs that illustrated Kira’s story. She is the keeper of her own history, and as her own historian, she is able to provide visual representations to help the audience become truly immersed in her experiences. Her impressions matched the photographs. Kira is extremely talented. Highlight? Her uncle, because I have that same uncle.

What I didn't like

Too short!!!

My overall impression

Brave, funny, personal, and current. Kira manages to share her racial trauma in a very personal way that isn’t too heavy-handed but yet it remains impactful, comical, and endearing. Kira is a beautiful light and a wonderful example of what can happen when we heal from our trauma and honor our past.
