Caught in the Mix was a worthwhile and enlightening journey through the experiences, miseducation, and growth of an amazing young Afro-Latino woman. It has all the qualities of a great play. It encouraged laughter and tears along the road to enlightenment. I highly recommend that you take the journey along with Kira Powell!...

The writing is so concise and complete. Kira offers us such a gift to behold her for an hour on the stage, taking up rightful space to generously share with us her journey processing racial trauma. Laughing through tears the entire show, like the most fulfilling conversation you’ve had with a friend for its vulnerability and vivid storytelling. ...

This show is great, it is clean and tight.
I found myself laughing and sitting on the edge of my seat as Kira, walked us through the life of a mixed person, and all the pride and shame that come with it. Kira's skill is on full display as she seamlessly transitions between characters. What's most impressive is her ability to switch between to characters and with them their emotions, back and forth, without missing a beat....
