My overall impression
I was stunned at the wrenching and beautiful brilliance of this show. Ciera’s story and performance are fearless. Never once in 90 minutes did my mind flicker from the story being told…it was that captivating, well crafted and powerful. And when it was over…I just wanted more. “Always leaving them wanting more…” is exactly what Ciera did with this poignant, bittersweet, triumphant play. And her acting…she held that stage by herself for 90 minutes like a queen. As she shifted characters her entire body, mind, and spirit shifted to that creation. It was stunning to watch. Each character so physically and emotionally nuanced. Each character, never black or white, never one dimensional…each a rainbow of colors…some dark and some light that together created each person so profoundly. Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
