Yoga scholar-practitioner and artist Christopher Rzigalinski leads this interactive workshop that combines improvisational theater, object work, and asana practice for full body awareness. These techniques are useful for actors, yogis, and anyone that wants to create fluid movement through space.
We begin with a random suggestion. Then together we create a story of self-empowerment fusing the basic tools of improvisational theater designed by Viola Spolin and Del Close with the foundations of Hatha yoga tradition. Our goal is to cultivate mindfulness of mind and body to enhance creativity and self confidence, questioning the stories our bodies tell and creating new narratives about the interventions we want to make in everyday life.
Please note this is an educational event open to all experience levels.
