My overall impression
I like the connection between the storyline and Mr. McGowan’s interests. The references to old TV shows and movies fits us in the 80’s generation to a T. We were raised by TV and it shows in our personalities and our current interests. I think Mr. McGowan did a great job of not relying on the references as stand-alone gags. He didn’t “name drop”, but used the references to enhance his story. The crowd loved him and the laughter just supported his excellent delivery further. Storytelling can be done many ways and Mr. McGowan’s approach made the show fun to watch. Well done.
