‘1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible’ is the title given to a pair of James McLure one-acts called ‘Lone Star’ which follows two brothers Roy (A Vietnam Veteran) and Ray (His dimwitted brother) outside of Angels bar in Maynard, Texas, when Roy’s most heated adversary, Cletis, shows up and admits he stole Roy’s prized 1959 Pink Thunderbird Convertible ‘Laundry and Bourbon’ is the second one-act which follows Roy and Cletis’ wives in a web a farcical gossip around the small rural town.
