What I liked
I really liked the high energy of the actors and actresses; they were literally in our laps at times! I also enjoyed the religious and political satire and multiple pop culture references throughout the dialogue. Even though the set design was minimal, I felt like I was in that barn next to the pigpen during the entire presentation; the “piped-in” snorts and grunts of the hungry hogs added a great deal to the drama.
What I didn't like
When the young ladies on stage delivered their dialogue in such an excited and histrionic manner, they spoke quite rapidly at times, and I did not understand some of the words they uttered. Granted, their interactions with each other provided me with the clues I needed to understand what was happening on stage at all times.
My overall impression
I really enjoyed the show! The small theater and closeness to the actors and actresses on stage brought the story to life in an exciting way.
