Along with fond memories of a little black girl growing up in Venice, California in the 50’s and 60’s, a daughter recounts her often violent, abusive and confusing relationship with her mother and grandmother. After many years of being caregiver to her mother, this challenging journey ultimately leads to understanding, forgiveness and healing as a result of their role reversal relationship. Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant, the story is told through song, dance and multiple characters – all of which will make you laugh, perhaps shed a tear, reminisce, and hopefully walk away with insight or different point of view about your own life and challenges.
