What I liked

I loved the way Holly used humor and circus/game show motifs to explain the difficulties and taboo topics of her experience. It made it comfortable for me and honestly, I love finding humor in all moments of life. I think the humor also points out how ridiculous it sometimes is that we don’t talk about this kind of stuff, or that we think it’s not so bad to “get a free boob job” after having a double mastectomy. I think the humor also allows some grace for the complexity of these topics.

What I didn't like

The music could be a little louder, in my opinion. With sounds, I think the speakers were loud enough. But when it was a song, I felt like it was too low to feel the energy of the song.

My overall impression

I loved going on the journey with Holly of discovering herself as she grapples with some very vulnerable and difficult topics of cancer and literally losing parts of her womanhood. It’s such an honest and open exploration of reflection that comes as we go through hard times. Her show is funny and heart-warming.
